
Chef Zane Smith developed Cooking Zen with one intention: To bring mindfulness to the table. Whether a person is a vegetarian, a vegan, a health conscious eater, or simply someone who enjoys food, there is an opportunity to bring the importance of sustainable, ethical cooking and natural, organic foods into their lives. Focusing on topics like utilizing local products, understanding organic farming and the environmental impact of eating, Cooking Zen brings to light the idea that food is more than just sustenance. The food that we take in every day can help us not only nurture ourselves, but it can also have meaning. It can promote good for our families, people we interact with and the environment that we live in. Everyone has the potential to put more thought into what goes into their body. Sometimes, we just don’t know where to start. Cooking Zen will enlighten those who are interested and demonstrate that healthy, sustainable cooking does not mean sacrifice. Cooking can be green, balanced and delicious.
